This 80-hour training program is for persons seeking to become certified Driver/Pumper Operators within an emergency response organization. The course curriculum is in accordance with the NFPA 1002 (2017 Edition), Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator (Standard for Fire Fighter Professional Qualifications) and focuses on the knowledge and skills for driving and emergency pumper vehicle (Chapter 4 of the NFPA 1002 standard) as well as pump operation (Chapter 5 of the NFPA 1002 standard). This course is Pro Board accredited, providing internationally recognized certification for Emergency Response Professionals. Delegates must undergo examination and skills evaluation, which if completed successfully will result in Pro Board Certification.
